I am learning Finding and Summarising Information  To understand how the information relates to the main topic. I found it interesting because it gave me a challenge. My next step is to identify and determine importance of information in the text.

I have been learning to write a poem using imagery. To make my poem more interesting I used Transitions. Did my poem give you a clear image? My next step is to use different types of language features like metaphors, similes and WOW words in  all my writing.  

Features of explanation writing

My Reflection

I have been learning the features of explanation writing. The features of an explanation text are a conclusion, a heading or a title, appropriate language features. I found this easy because the video of how to make banana milkshake gave me lots of good example's. My next step is to write my own explanation using the features.        

Features of Explanation Writing

I have been learning the features of explanation writing the features of an explanation writing are rhetorical questions, tenses, simple drawings,  Sequencing connectives, connectives and  a clear title.

I found it easy because all i had to do was figure out was by putting them in order. 

My next step is to write my own explanation using the features.

Spelling Activity-The K Sound

I have been learning to recognise the different ways of spelling the "k" sound in words. The most challenging thing about doing this is trying to to recognise all the different ways that make the k sound. My next step is to use this learning to help me spell more accurately.

I have been learning to use language features to make my writing more interesting. We have been learning about metaphors. A metaphor is when you compare something to something else. You can say it

I have been to write a Kennings poem. A kennings poem is like a riddle. It describes something without actually saying what it is. The poem is about me. I found this easy because all i needed to do has just write about myself by using two word. My next step is to write another one but about something else. 

Narative Writing-Fractured

I have been learning to write a fractured fairy tale using what I have learned about narrative struchures and features. My fractured fairy tales was based on red riding hood The best part of this is getting to the main part of the story. My next step to make the begging better by adding more detail.

Character Description Reflection

W.a.l.t write a character description using adjectives.

I found this picture hard to describe because he looks normal and it is kind of hard to tell what he 

feels,  looks,  smells,  sounds and taste. I used my five senses to write five different sentences about my character. My next step is to add more interesting adjectives. 

Features of Persuasive Writing

We have been learning to find the features of Persuasive writing.

I found this easy because all I needed is to find the thing to match the Different Category.

I learnt about how Persuasive writing has lots of thing to make it more interesting and how it is more facts and more language to it and it is not simple writing.

My next step is to write my own persuasive speech

Ordering an explanation

We have been learning about the structure and order of writing an explanation.  We had to put the piece of writing in the correct order.  I found this easy because all we did was read the text and put them in the correct order.  My next step is to write my own explanation.

I  have been learning to add Detail to my writing We had to imagine  we were a soldier or a Family member and write about this picture. I used had to imagine what it would be like in the old in days and if you had to go to war and what would your family feel about me going away for a very long time to make my writing more interesting.  my next step is to use my 5 senses to add more detail.

A Moment In Time Writing

I have been learning to use strategies to add detail to my Writing. I wrote about  a Moment in time during
my holiday. I used my 5 senses to add detail to my writing i got a lot better at writing after doing this.  my moment in time really help me to use my 5 senses. my next step is to use wow words,adjective's,verbs.

I have been learning to use metaphors to make it more interesting by making pictures in the readers head.
I found this piece of work tricky because I found it hard to come up with a metaphor. My next Step is to try come up with some better sounding metaphors.
